Following Serge Tiroche’s increased international activities, which he first anounced at ArtFi in March, Mr. Tiroche is reducing his focus on ST-ART, Israel's first artist incubator project.

 

Since it was founded in 2008, ST-ART supported numerous artists by acquiring their works, producing exhibitions, funding projects in Israel and abroad, offering professional advice as well as via a unique studio program. ST-ARTcollaborates with curators, museums, auction houses and commercial galleries in Israel and abroad to promote the work of selected artists.

 

During its years of operation ST-ART built a unique collection of more than 600 works by nearly 100 artists from diverse practices and different cultures, and in all mediums. The collection is a unique time capsule of the Israeli narrative, as it is drawn by the artists of this generation. The collection can be viewed here:

At inception, ST-ART was a unique solution in the Israeli art scene for freshly graduated artists, from the academic institutions, who needed an initial foothold in the art market. However, the situation has changed and nowadays many new, private & public platforms, have activities that overlap with ST-ART. Mr. Tiroche has therefore decided to reduce the activity in ST-ART but will continue to support young Israeli artists via involvement in other frameworks and individual projects with artists with whom he is already associated.
