Peleg Dishon at the Petach Tikva Museum of Art

ST-ART is proud to announce Peleg Dishon's solo exhibition at the Petach Tikva Museum of Art.

Peleg Dishon has been a resident artist at the ST-ART Incubator Project from 2009 and has participated in many group and solo exhibitions since.

An ancient map of the celestial Jerusalem, the cover of the LP record "Relayer" by Yes, Tower of Babel by Bruegel and others, constitute the imaginary landscape of a long paper cutout, hand made by Peleg Dishon.

The paper cutout, between a map and an architectural model, resembles a maze of Snakes and Ladders.Screens installed at the back of the cutout illuminate it as a watch tower searchlight or radar signals, scanning and absorbing the paper back surface in a way which is beyond the grasp of the human eye.

This magnificent sight is part of a new coming exhibition which will open at the Collection Gallery of the Petach Tikva Museum of Art titled "Flood".

The exhibition introduces Dishon and Raanan Harlap site-specific installations; it is the third in the series of exhibitions "Continuum” which invite works of art to react to the museum's collection.  Curator: Irit Carmon Popper.
