In this exciting new initiative, one ambitious art project is chosen each year. ST-ART develops a business plan in conjunction with the artist and finances the end to end production. It then promotes the project to galleries, collectors, curators and museums in order to firmly establish the artist in the Israeli art discourse, and at a later stage makes introductions to appropriate international galleries.

 

For 2013, ST-ART selected a project by Michel Platnic, whom we have been supporting since his graduation with excellence from Hamidrasha School of Art in Beit Berl in 2010. The project presents a new artistic medium unseen anywhere in the world: LIVING PAINTINGS.

 

Using a combination of artistic mediums including drawing, stage design, body painting, fashion design, photography, computer programming and film directing, Platnic orchestrates a grand reincarnation of Francis Bacon's (architecturally incongruent) paintings.
