Lives and works in Gedera, Israel
"In the days of the Messiah, when the time for redemption comes and we achieve true deliverance, in this age and time an end will come to all our troubles, the impure kingdom knows that its end is approaching and therefore is gathering strength and coming to the places of impurity where it has the upper hand…there the impure kingdom raised its head and Satan darkens the world in order to hinder the triumph of sanctity, god forbid. In these times a strong, fierce war is going on. Good and bad, falsehood and truth, purity and impurity, sanctity and impurity. And we should be aware that we live in this time and age, a time of decision before the arrival of the Messiah, and god has put them opposite one another. As there is a holy kingdom there is an impure kingdom, and as there are fifty gates of sanctity, there are fifty gates of impurity, and they are fighting each other…and now, in the Messiah's time is the time for decision. The impure kingdom knows that it is facing extinction; therefore it gathers all of its strength ["Articles of faith"]. The majority of the works take place in these times - Day of Judgment, Armageddon, Gog and Magog War – whether in their content-related-visual or technical-material aspects: arguments between traditional and young, ground-breaking painting, confrontations between traditional oil and tempera paint and artificial, industrial plastic materials, products of the plastic era posed on the same canvas encompassing a brief history of all time, heading towards catharsis or redemption. Imaginary creatures residing both in the shadows and in the light , un-organic entities coming into life as well as veteran organic, perishable earth-dwellers populate canvases and space like an apocalyptic "dream team" traveling through abysmal, anonymous spheres or against a "crazy" natural landscape in the verge of the world as we know it. The works have visual and ideological contents that are blunt and very sensitive, intelligent and intriguing, all at the same time. They attest to a strong belief in the power of the visual image as well as in the power of the abstract and the void, inconceivable and uncontrollable and they create effective aesthetic manipulations. They evoke questions regarding eastern and western cultural textures, social politics, social and personal structure, gender identity and foremost – the occult, a higher, unknown world yet to be discovered channeled into fine art objects, primitive and futuristic at the same time, futuristic archeology in the sake of a world yet to be healed."
